GRACE CONGREGATION COUNCIL
Newly elected council members, William Anderson and Tom Nuckols, will be installed
during the worship service today. The council will have its annual in-house retreat and
planning session for 2026 on Saturday, January 17th , from 9:00 AM – noon.
THE CHRISMON TREE
The word “Chrismon” is a combination of the words “Christ” and “monogram”, depicted as
symbols of Christ. The colors of gold and white reflect His majesty and purity. Among these
symbols are six Resurrection Butterflies placed in memory of Miriam Voigt, Judy Hinrichs,
Leland Bailey, Sally Williams, Billie Kirkman and John Lindler; those Saints who’ve gone
before us and now rest eternally with our Lord and Savior.
CHOIR CLUB
Choir Club will resume on Thursdays from 6:30 – 7:15 PM beginning on January 8th. This is
a fun and educational time to familiarize yourself with the upcoming hymns for Sunday’s
worship service and learn the history behind the chosen hymns, their hymn writers and their
connection to the liturgy. Consider adding this opportunity to your weekly schedule, all are
welcome!
